The Planning Process

STEP 1 - Initial Inquiry

When you contact us, we’ll provide a brief description of our services, philosophies, and methodology and fee structures. We’ll direct you to our web site to help you learn more. Visit our web site. If our services appear to fit your needs, contact us to schedule a Step 2 “Get Acquainted Meeting” in person or by telephone.

STEP 2 - Get Acquainted Meeting/Teleconference

The 30 minute Get Acquainted Meeting is an opportunity for us to exchange information about your needs and objectives, and how we may work together to meet them. Ask us about out services and process, our backgrounds, our investment philosophies, and the benefits of financial planning. We want you to feel comfortable working with us.

STEP 3 – Getting Started Meeting

If you think we’re a good fit and you can benefit from our services, we’ll proceed to the “Getting Started” portion of our meeting. You’ll need to sign the Client Services agreement for this 1 hour working session. Payment for this service is expected at the end of the meeting. We’ll review your Client Questionnaire, refine your objectives, answer any questions that do not need research or number crunching, make some preliminary recommendations and summarize actions you can take immediately. At the end of this meeting, we’ll also provide an estimated fee quote for any additional work needed.

STEP 4 - Data Gathering

If you need further planning and decide to proceed, we will give you a list of documents we’ll need to formulate your plan. Gather the data requested and complete any additional worksheets. Fax, email or mail this information to us.

STEP 5 - Analysis and Plan Formulation

We analyze the information you have provided, working with you as needed to further clarify the data and refine your financial goals. We study various plan scenarios, conclude our research and analysis, and produce the final reports that summarize objectives, assumptions, results, recommendations, and an action plan for your unique situation. Respond to any requests from us for clarification of data or additional input. Otherwise, all you have to do at this point is await your next meeting with us.

STEP 6 - Presentation of Your Financial Plan

We present and review your personal financial plan. We discuss all reports and provide you with a written summary of our observations and specific recommendations. Congratulations! At this point you will hold a personalized blueprint, custom designed to meet your financial goals. Full payment of the balance for actual fees incurred is due at the conclusion of the plan presentation meeting.

STEP 7 - Financial Checkups

Financial planning is an ongoing process, not a one-time event. Periodic update meetings and reviews are essential to maintain good fiscal health. We can schedule these periodic meetings with you at whatever frequency you think appropriate. We urge prompt attention. It’s about your financial future.
